Dear Leadership Round Rock applicant,

Thank you for your interest in Leadership Round Rock (LRR)!

LRR offers an opportunity to develop leadership skills and learn more about local issues that impact Round Rock. This program is designed to train leaders to understand the dynamics of community and the role leadership plays in its long-term success.

Complete the following application to participate in Leadership Round Rock 2024. All applications are due by 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 31st. Applicants accepted into the class will be notified no later than the week of November 7th.

Program Requirements

Participants are required to attend and actively engage in subject-specific sessions, mandatory retreat, and graduation ceremony. Please expect each day of the program to be a full day. The 2024 tentative calendar is below:

Kick off Meeting – 1/11/24
Retreat – 1/17/23
City History & Chamber Day – 2/14/24
Class Service Project Meeting – 2/21/24
Community Involvement Day – 3/20/24
Higher Education Day – 4/17/24
County Government Day – 5/21/24

Water Infrastructure and Transportation Day - 6/19/24
State & Federal Government Day – 8/21/24
Healthcare Day – 9/18/24
K-12 Day – 10/16/24
City Day 1 – 11/20/24
City Day 2 – 12/4/24
Graduation – 12/11/24*

All sessions are from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. except for the Kick Off Meeting and Graduation. Unless otherwise noted, expect each day of the program to be a full day.


Participants are also required to attend/participate in the following:
A community service project (approximately 20 volunteer hours)

Three of the following meetings: Round Rock City Council, Round Rock Independent School District Board, Round Rock Planning and Zoning Commission, Williamson County Commissioner’s Court, Round Rock Chamber Board of Directors

Participants will be selected through a comparative assessment from the full complement of applications submitted for the program. The intent of this selection process is to create a group of the best candidates that represents a cross section of interest within the community.
